well i just printed off some targets hopefully i get some time and shoot them this sunday after wifes family reunion might make a competitions with my brother and dad for brag in rights. we dont do much bull eyes target shooting with handguns more of a point shoot move shoot stuff like that.
D_W ... We'll look forward to your entry :). These days I probably spend about one third of my range time with target practice (primarily aim small miss small exercises) and working to maintain/fine tune my target skills. The balance of my time is directed towards my self defense drills and point shooting.

Things that happened today: July 16th

July 16, 1808 - Lewis and Clark form the Missouri Fur Company.
July 16, 1918 - The Romanov family is executed.
July 16, 1935 - America's first parking meter is installed in Oklahoma City.
July 16, 1940 - Marshall Petain becomes the premier of occupied France.
July 16, 1945 - The First Atomic Bomb was successfully tested.
July 16, 1969 - Apollo 11 departs earth headed for the moon.
July 16, 1999 - JFK, jr is killed in a plane crash.

July 16, 2014 - The Summer 2014 "Double Distance" Shooting Contest results are missing and a massive government cover-up is suspected. Impeachment proceedings are mentioned. Secret emails to some Bloomberg guy are hinted to be part of the cover-up. A run on reloading supplies as well as knife blanks starts rumors of hidden stashes of ill gotten ivory stocks for sale on eBay from NSA security plants.

Other than that, it's been a normal day down here.

You both won only two shooters
Hmm, that's kind of sad.

Evidently lots of people talk about shooting but nobody actually goes out and just shoots!

Anyway, if "Buck" doesn't have any problems with it, I could see adding another month to the contest. Think of it as a month to think about shooting and another month to actually get out there and hit something!!
So, I vote to add another month on to the contest.

When I fired up my computer this morning to list the results, it locked up showing only a picture of Lois Learner pleading the 5th :p.

Unfortunately, two contestants does not a firearms contest make (unless of course it's a dual :uhoh:). Hopefully we'll have more participants for the Fall contest :D. FYI ... The prize money had been placed back in the Swiss Bank Account and will be rolled over to next contest

AD ... I have no problem extending the contest by 30 days if it's deemed appropriate by the powers that be :)
