My local range just installed one of these Openfire live fire simulators to have the members test (the owners are determining how many they will install). The positives from my experience is that all of the different interactive programs available (reactive targets, exploding targets, shooting gallery, etc.) are a great deal of fun :). The negatives however IMHO are that they are addictive and eat massive amounts of ammo accordingly (200 rounds of ammo went bye bye very quickly)

I'm curious what you guys think of these and who else has had any experience with them?

Just went to the web page you posted with this system. It looks very interesting and I can see some great ideas that should come out of it.

If it shows up here somewhere, I'll have to give it a try for sure.

I only used a combination of my MKIII512 and my GSG 1911-22 for the 200 round test. $10 of .22 wasn't bad but I wouldn't be interested burning $40 of 9mm or $60 of .45acp. Of all the programs I tried, I liked the Asteroid game the best :)
