  1. Delaware attorney general strips county sheriffs of arrest powers

    By Pat Shannan

Sheriff Jeff Christopher of Sussex County, Delaware, when he was elected to the office in 2010, thought he was handpicked by the people to represent them as the highest-ranking law officer in the county. Instead, he has found himself in the middle of a fight for the future of American law enforcement as a result of a nationwide effort to abolish the sheriff’s office altogether.

It is one more example of federal and state governments ignoring the will of the people as well state laws. In the case of Delaware, the state’s own constitution stipulates that the office of the sheriff is a constitutionally created position just like the secretary of state and the attorney general. Delaware’s Constitution states: “The sheriffs shall be conservators of the peace within the counties . . . in which they reside.â€

  2. Wow! They just keep picking fights with the people and it will not be good for anyone. I think Barry won't be happy till be can do what Syria and the other tyrannical governments do to the people and kill us all who won't bow down.

Unbelievable....what's next, doing away totally with state and local law enforcement??? We're inching closer, every day, to totalitarian rule by the federal govt. Seems like many of these politico's were just waiting for something to jump start their usurpation of power. Instead of seeing white police vehicles, seems we'll be seeing tan hummers and APC's patrolling our streets. :flag:
  4. Beau Biden is doing Dad's bidding, it's all in the Biden family of thought. Stop the County Sheriff's in his jurisdiction from publicly refusing to arrest or block feds from intervening inside their counties. If the Sheriffs can't arrest anyone they how can they stop or stand up to the feds carrying out the governments wishes to strip the citizens of their weapons. It just another way of ham stringing the public and leaving them at the mercy of the government. :banghead:
It is hard to say how this will turn out especially in the current polictical climate. A lot will depend on what the State Supreme Court's stand has been regarding Constitutional issues. :notlooking:
