Any bible scholars out there are familiar with this subject. As well as the relationship of USA and Rome/Roman Catholic Church.

Interesting read, Wolf, however I did not know that NASA was involved in politically charged predictions of the future.
That being said, societal collapse is a future that we've been gambling with since the 80's, and perhaps longer.
As this article so rightly supposes, whenever a society experiences a quantum leap in technology, as ours has in the last sixty years, it becomes very difficult to sustain this wild growth economically.
With the rich getting richer, and the break-down of our labor unions, one does not need to be a rocket scientist to see where we're heading.
Along with political greed and the "elite," the average man does not have a lot of wiggle room and will sooner than later, demand equality.

It's just a matter of time until Joe-bag o-doughnuts wants his too.
And I don't see where the Catholics, or any other religion for that matter, have anything to do with this scenario, except maybe to deny where this grand technological leap came from.:flag:

Just who are these people anyway.

First off let's understand NASA itself had nothing to do with the study or the final report. Mathematical models
~
From the article:
Despite assurances from most political leaders, experts and researchers who argue that we live in a stable and sustainable world, a new study utilizing mathematical models developed by NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center may confirm our worst fears.

According to the Socio Economic Synthesis Center, which led the study’s research team and was made up of well respected natural and social scientists from various U.S.-based universities, society as it exists today is decades, perhaps just years, from a complete collapse of our way of life.

~
Socio Economic Synthesis Center:..The National Socio-Environmental Synthesis Center (SESYNC) is an NSF-funded center in Annapolis, Maryland. The center is established through an award to the University of Maryland at College Park. It represents a collaborative effort between the University of Michigan; University of Maryland Institute for Advanced Computer Studies (UMIACS); Helmholtz Centre for Environmental Research-UFZ (Germany); Environment for Development Initiative (EfD) at the University of Gothenburg (Sweden); Cary Institute of Ecosystem Studies; Gallaudet University; Washington State University at Vancouver; and Coppin State University. :banghead:

SESYNC is dedicated to serving the synthesis research community and is grounded in the philosophy that to solve today's environmental problems, natural and social scientists must work with policy-makers to identify priorities and co-develop research questions. (huh, what's that) Addressing these questions requires a combination of fundamental, discovery-driven synthesis research and a commitment to clear communication of scientific insights to decision makers and stakeholders. The Center plans to set up an online collaborative environment whose purpose is to foster community-wide suggestions, discussions, and development of ideas for the Center's future research, education, and outreach activities. The Center strives to engage the broad community to guide all of its activities. (WHAT!) It will also support the community in developing novel approaches for overcoming the epistemological, pedagogical, and institutional hurdles to conducting synthetic socio-environmental research. SESYNC is dedicated to creating synthetic, actionable research and scholarship related to the structure, functioning, and sustainability of socio-environmental systems. In partnership with Resources for the Future, SESYNC will work with policy-makers to understand their scientific needs and motivate scholarship to meet those needs. SESYNC will support structured policy programs including "Mission Meetings" where scientists and policy-makers co-identify relevant research needs and ways to ensure that the products of fundamental discovery are linked appropriately to productive interactions between social and environmental scientists and policy professionals at all levels. Education and outreach research and activities will be embedded throughout the Center's programs to expand capacity in socio-environmental synthesis. In its first year, SESYNC will launch a founding program focused on teaching synthesis methods and strategies for the analysis of complex information on the environment to diverse educational communities, with a focus on undergraduate education. :banghead: Yeah, that's what I thought they said, what?

Plain English, high paid intellectuals who think they know everything about everything and think they have all the answers. So, just what do you really believe is going to happen and how are YOU going to prepare for what YOU think is going to go wrong and effect YOU and your family. Because that is what matters and that is the REALITY of it all.
