Well, I had my first interview today with the new Hollywood Toledo Casino and it went VERY well. She told me that they wanted to fill the position by the end of the month and there would be other manager's to interview me. She also said not to wait by the phone as it might be a couple of weeks but she was going to make sure they see my resume. Sometime today I finally got into my voice mail to find a message from the Manager of the department I was interviewing with wanting to setup another interview!

How did I miss this post???

I wanted to ask you how it went but when I didn't see you post a comment I figured I should not bring it up.

That's great news and I wish you the best of luck.

Keep us posted - now that I know where to look.

Thank you Jeff. I have another interview tomorrow, today, at 1pm with the Slots Manager. Hopefully he tells me when I start. ;) Will update the post as I know more and thank you again. :D

Thank you sir. I truly need it. I just got a turn down e-mail from the Hollywood Casino, so my dreams of that position are gone. Sitting at home is driving me batty and deeper into my depression, but, I'm trying.

Hang in there brother! I find that when things look bad it's a good time to count your blessings. If you have your health, the ability to see, walk and talk then you are in pretty good shape. A short trip to a hospital CCU or a nursing home can really put things in perspective. I encourage you to keep hitting the streets, putting in resumes and even to follow up with those you've already applied to. Sometimes when hiring managers see that you are persistent they may rethink their decision of turning you down.
God Bless!
JOS

Thank you. Yes, I know exactly what you mean. Many of my classmates have heavy medical issues and I am blessed with very few minor ones. I am always putting my resume and app in at places, but yes the turn downs do get old and really bring a person down as well. I keep telling my wife to cross everything she can but I think she is missing some parts somewhere. LOL
