I take oral meds for my diabetes (type 2) my doctor is still trying to regulate it and I am still trying to eat right and get more exercise, hehe, as if that is really going to happen when I only have about 1/3 of my lungs left that are useable.

Oral meds Type 2 its been a year and uncontrollable. I was drinking my fair share of beer and Honey Red Stag. But Tuesday I quit drinking all together. Wife is watching everything I eat. But so far not drinking has not been a problem.

Gentlemen, PLEASE take care of yourselves for your's and your families sake. That is nothing to screw around with to say the least. I have seen the effect of it first hand with family members and friends alike. None of it was good to say the least so again, please take care of yourselves.

When my sugar gets high my eye sight gets a little funky. So this last week my shooting is awesome. I'm walking at White Park just over the Michigan line from my house.

I stopped drinking and smoking decades ago, have always watched what I ate (no salt added, low sodium products, watched fat intake, no sugar or substitute with everything, even watched the type of carbs I ate  ) for decades. Thought I was doing all the right stuff until one day at work I had sever pressure that felt like heartburn brought on by strenuous work (unloading a truck load of food stuffs for my restaurant). After having quad bypass with life threatening complications, I am told that my sugar count is high and I need medication and that it should settle down (supposed have been brought on by the surgical process) that was 1-11-11, to date it has just gotten worse. :banghead: Now taking 1000 MG of Metforman a day to help control my A1C. This was just increased last month and will be checked in September. I am hoping for the best. :)

Scared shitless today at gun range. My sugar tanked to the basement it went down to 44. No not .44cal either I started getting disorientated along with a panic attack. I didn't back a cell phone or candy bar in the car. I made it home the 4mi drive was very hard made it to the couch told the wife to check my sugar 44 is low. I'm on 2000mg per day of Metformin and 5mg of Gylburide so things we need to pack for the shooting range always changes so we have to adapt. So each and everyone of us should pack a range bag for our personal needs.

Don't blame yourselves, especially you Dog.
No matter your eating or drinking habits, some folks are hereditarily prone to some diseases.
Just make sure you take care of it,.......wouldn't want to loose any of my favorite posters.:flag:

Well went to the eye doc first time in 4 years. Not taking care of ones self isn't good. Both eyes are in the beginning stage of cataracts but we will see what happens when I go back next year.

Dan, you need to start taking better care of yourself sir. I know I am guilty of not doing so as well but I am trying more and more.

Was riding my motorcycle stopped at red light, Well rubbing my right eye I couldn't read the car plate in front of me. Went to the eye doc and a hole in my cornea. So at 11;00 today go to the surgeon to tell me what will happen later this week.

Saw a specialist Monday after further testing no hole. Blood vessel on the lower part of eye blocked return side. So blood and fluid build up well numbed eye put needle in and said this may dry things up. But it may take six trips and more test. Don't let anyone bullshit you a needle in the corner eye hurts like hell. Vision in left eye still not up too par. But this is a start to what maybe a fix. Oh don't ride a motorcycle to the Doctor not knowing what's going to happen. Eyes dilated on a sunny day with no sunglasses one closed the other damn close. home safe but it sure wasn't fun in traffic.:flag::flag:
