    If memory serves me right Lewis & Clark on their exploration west. It was used to show the Indians of their magic powers. They used a bellows type method to charge the air reservoir I think it was leather if I remember my history right.

  3. I do believe your correct Dan. They did have and air rifle with them. I also think but could be wrong it was French made?

    After further checking I'm right and Austrian made. The Germans called it Windbuchse (wind rifle)
     
  5. Well I stand corrected. I must have been thinking about another rifle in history.

    Getting old sucks, I think? If I remember correctly. Lol
